This Sunday, Advanced Certified Lay Servant and North West District Lay Servant Ministries Board of Directors Member and Trainer, Susie Poe, will bring the message: “KENOUGH-Finding Your Identity in Christ.”
Susie’s Blog: “In a world that constantly asks us to define ourselves by what we do, how we look, or what we achieve, the question of identity can feel exhausting. Careers change. Relationships shift. Success fades. If our identity is built on temporary things, it will always feel fragile.
Scripture offers a better foundation: one that is secure, eternal, and rooted in God Himself. Ephesians 1:3–13 is one of the richest passages in the Bible for understanding who we are in Christ. In just a few verses, Paul shows us an identity that was established before we ever took our first breath. This passage entreats us to stop striving for an identity and start living in the one God has given us. In Christ, you are blessed, chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, purposeful, and secure.
When we truly believe this, it changes how we live. We no longer serve God to earn His love; we serve because we are loved. We no longer chase worth; we walk in it. Our identity in Christ becomes the foundation for a life of gratitude, freedom, and hope. If you’re searching for who you are, look to who Christ says you are. That’s where true identity is found.”
Join us at Midway this Sunday at 11:00 AM for a great message by Susie Poe and start the new year knowing that in Christ you are KENOUGH!
Grace and Peace because grace always goes before peace,
